Otis Porter Mullenix, born May 13, 1924 in Oden, AR died January 4, 2015 at St. Vincent in Hot Springs, AR.
He is survived by 2 sisters, Juanita and Nolan Warren of Oden, AR and Sammie Lou Pope, of Wichita Falls, TX.
4 Children, Mike & Susie Mullenix, Jeff & Tonya Mullenix and Sheila and Charles Roberts of Mount Ida, AR and Phyllis and Josiah Demby IV of Prince George, Virginia. 13 Grandchildren, Mary Jolly, Josiah Howard Demby V, Lisa Hughbanks, Mindy Duggan, Ryan Roberts, Sean Mullenix, Lori Saveall, Jeremy Austin, Tiffanie Mullenix, Jordan Mullenix, Garrett Mullenix, Cody Gaston and Whitley Gaston. 25 Great Grandchildren and many family and friends.Otis loved the outdoors mostly catfishing and camping and enjoyed many years of elk hunting in Colorado with lifelong friends and his sons. He will be greatly missed by all!
The family asks that in leiu of flowers make contributions to the Mount Ida Senior Center. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Mount Ida. Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida.
